Off the Beaten Press is my design studio specializing in letterpressed paper goods, calligraphy, & illustrated keepsakes. All items are hand-crafted in Richmond, Virginia by me, Natalie Kay. I make & sell greeting cards, artwork & quirky paper items using a variety of skills and techniques with limited custom work.
I am a self taught modern calligrapher who uses a dip pen to shake up anything from note cards to cocktail recipes.
After falling in love with the lost art of letterpress, I purchased three antique presses to produce my own work.
Pen & ink illustrations bring me true joy – especially custom building sketches like first date spots or first homes.
