I wanted built-ins in my living room for some time, but after a few crazy high quotes from contractors, I decided to just do it myself. I already had a shelf in the space where I wanted some more permanent shelves so it helped me get an idea of what it would be like. Here is the black shelf I had there before all filled in.It's not a bad shelf but I kinda wanted one that went all the way to the ceiling and allowed me to clean the floor underneath.I stained all the wood while I was working from home one day.Getting them all straight was its own challenge and spacing them perfectly as well.But I am so happy with them now! They are fresh and show the bright wall behind it!This was a small but lovely improvement and I am happy I got to do it all myself!
