Travel: St. Croix

Oh did I ever need this vacation. We found some cheap tickets in December and I just counted the days till I could get to the sunshine. I was about to start planning when a friend of a friend passed along an entire itinerary and helped us coordinate the days

We rented a car and found an AirBnB just 7 minute from the heart of Christiansted. It was a tiny condo with a galley kitchen, balcony overlooking the city and a pool. Our newfound friend booked us reservations for the night of arrival at Savant.

It was a nice evening to kick off the trip. For dinner the pan seared tuna with coconut rice and tomato & bean succotash was killer. The next morning we woke up to start exploring the downtown area.

We started off getting lattes & fruit smoothies at Twin Cities Coffee. The morning was quiet and we had a rainbow over the ocean to give us a hint of the days ahead.

After breakfast, we drove up to pick up chairs and snorkels. Then we headed to Annlay Bay Tide Pools. These pools are only accessible after a 2 mile or so hike along the coast.
