My boyfriend has landed in NYC. He will be getting his full-time residence there later this year, but for now, he is stationed in temporary housing. For the week of the Fourth of July, I went to visit him and spend some time hanging in the city. I worked from home every day that week but at night, we did lots of touristy things. This was the view from the elevator on his apartment.
The first day there we wandered a lot around Manhattan and Brooklyn. We actually walked over ten miles.
We headed out to Coney Island to enjoy the Sunday evening there.
It wasn’t crowded it all, probably because everyone left town for the holiday.
We rode the Cyclone. Worth it. If you ever get the chance, do it!
And I shelled out the $5 bucks to get this photo of us!
We wandered down the boardwalk in the setting sun and had dinner & drinks there.
Cotton candy clouds were so appropriate.
To save money when I stayed, we made our first Blue Apron meals together! It was a lot of fun to get to cook again. Every night we ate on the floor and watch Hulu.
I visited him in his new office. FBNY.
They have a miNY room! I took a ton of pictures inside of it. How cute is this?!
They just opened the rooftop so we took advantage of it.
Since the next day was the Fourth, we grabbed a delicious meal and went out for drinks.
He modeled while we waited for cocktails at….
Death & Co.! I was so excited to go here. I had the best Silver Fizz I’ve ever had in my life!
On the fourth, we dressed up.
And spent most of the day shopping near Rockafeller.
We had dinner reservations at Bar SixtyFive.
The view was gorgeous!
And the drinks were delicious & beautiful.
While we didn’t catch the fireworks the way we WANTED to. We did see some cool ones from a distance all around us.
The rest of the week was pretty low key – except for the fact that I won tickets to CATS!
The last night there we walked around and got dessert.
I will miss the little apartment we shared for a week, but am looking forward to his new permanent place! More NYC trip to come!
