Every year I make some Valentine’s Day Cards. While I made these a while ago, I never go around to posting them online. I set the type as an example for students in class to show them a little lock up.
I think the lock up itself is pretty cute, not gonna lie. But it printed even better.
You can see I actually added the period after setting it and testing it for the first print. The dot really balanced out the entire setting.
The top type is a condensed gothic type that matched the skinnier “Airplane Gothic” that we have in the studio where I teach. I frequently pair these two together to get some variety. Even though they are not the same, they play nice together.
