I got the opportunity to work on a logo design for Whistling & Co. Emily has been doing some amazing work and you can go read more about what she is doing at her blog. A huge part of her business are the necklaces she makes and sells. They are beautiful and can be found at her Etsy Shop.
We went through a few rounds of revisions before settling in on a combination of some of those ideas. When Emily filled our her branding survey, she filled it with incredible inspiration for me to work with. Her jewelry also provided insight into what the logo should be.
Here is the final logo:
It’s symbolic of — and the product of many conversations about — hope, heartache and dreaming big dreams about Whistling & Co. The half-circle cut out represents the piece of the whistle where the sound of our individual whistles and hope sound off. The gritty shading in WHISTLING represents light shining through darkness. The & Company represents all of us doing this together. Here are the rest of the branding elements:
