Casting Type & Next Years Calendar

I went this past weekend to help Paul (friend & letterpress genius) out with a calendar to raise money for the Letterpress program at the Visual Art Center! I also got some shots of the month I designed, March, being printed.We use brass forms which are then flooded with molten lead to cast into a line of type to use while printing. I did this for each of the contributing artists who provided artwork for the calendar.My website all locked up to cast!Part of my cut...I added metal type in the middle of a piece of linoleum.The cut locked up to print and coming off the press.The final result.
