Colors of Halloween Watercolor Artwork
So many people close to me just love Halloween. While it’s not my favorite holiday, it lent itself nicely to add in to my list of my “Colors of” series. I have some other Holidays in the works too!
To start these I listed out classic monsters first. The Monster Mash song was in my head the whole time. Then instead of calling each thing its EXACT name I thought of a similar word that hinted at the monster.
To fill in the others, I had some coworkers help me brainstorm more colors the week before halloween. I also looked at some nail polish names for inspiration.
My favorite colors from this print are “It’s Alive” and “Coven” because of the extra details. There’s also a subtle blood drip in the red that pops in the print.
