An incredibly nerdy post for sure, but I just couldn't help myself. Last night, my friend Kaitlyn and I went to the Game of Thrones Pop Up Bar in DC. I had to pick up my boyfriend from the train at 11 pm so it worked out that I was going to be in the area. We stood in line for awhile (a long while) and enjoyed the company of the couple in front of us. It was pretty awesome when we finally did get in though! Here we are with "The North Remembers Drink." The bar was laid out in several rooms and each room had a different theme. When we walked into the North, we immediately snagged two seats (lucky us!).I loved sitting under the red leaves. I think this room was my favorite overall. Here I am totally cheesing. Some other drinks we tried were "The Lannisters Send Their Regards" and "The Night is Dark and Full of Terrors." Since we made friends with the couple in line ahead of us, we split a bunch to sample as much as possible. I got to try seven drinks but only paid for two!We took silly pictures and enjoyed the time inside after waiting that long outside. The hall of faces was hilarious. They had a room with dragons in it. And after last week's episode, they turned his eyes blue! Too soon?!The other drinks we split were "What is Dead May Never Die" and "Lady Mormont." The little bear was adorable and this was one of my favorites. I am not into too sweet, but this drink was just the right amount of sugar. Finally, just before leaving, we took pictures in the Iron Throne. It was dark and challenging to get a good picture, but I am pretty happy with this one. The fuzzy jacket made it worth it.
