Delft Watercolor Wedding Invitations
Kyle and Shelby were a great couple to work with for their wedding invitations. Shelby wrote me a lovely email describing her vision for the day. She shared that they would be working with blues and have delft china decorating the venue. As soon as she said that, I was off and running. The first thing I did was mock up a fake version of an invitation for them using patterns I saw on the vintage plates. Once they agreed on the direction, I watercolored my own delft patterns.I scanned in my files and started making an envelope liner pattern using a small area I had watercolored. Then I laid out the rest in InDesign and sent over a proof. When I got them back from the printer, I was ecstatic! They came out beautifully. I still have to cut all the liners myself by hand, but it was worth it.They are getting married this weekend and I cannot wait to see how they all came together. I also worked on their program so I am hoping to get some shots of that from the wedding day.I think the liners might be my favorite part.If you are interested in getting your wedding invitations designed by me, reach out for a quote!
