Letterpress: Thanks Greeting Cards

233.jpg

Whenever I mix up a custom ink color for a bride, I try to find something else I can print while it’s on the press. This color was no exception, especially because it matches my brand so perfectly.

Cut and Blind Deboss

I opted to print just a few minimal thank you cards for myself to send out in packages to clients.

This typeface is the same one that is found on all the headers across my website and printed workbooks for students. I got the plate made at the same time the invites using the same color were made. I tested it first as a blind deboss to make sure I liked how it was coming out.

Truly, I love the result of these. Bold, minimal type is defiantly one of my favorite things (as are lower case letters!)

Thanks Green with Lock Up

The lock up using the aluminum and polymer plate looked so simple. Printing using these places on my press has been a little challenging but still easier than some other type (at least when there is only color happening).

Split Process

Like I mentioned, I only printed a few of these (on some scrap paper I had laying around the studio), but I am considering printing some more on flat cards instead. I’ve also thought about doing an entire run of blind debossed thank yous.

Thanks Greeting Card

While these cards are not for sale, I would love to make you some custom greeting cards. Thank you cards are always good to have on hand, especially if you are a small business owner. I like to throw them in packages or mail them a few weeks later as a special touch to working with me!
