Letterpress Teaching: Student Work Spring 2015

This spring I taught a few classes. My first six weeks went really well. I even had a few repeat students this time around. I don't know if most of you can tell, but there are a few mistakes in this lock up on the right.

It was the first exquisite corpse of the year that we played as a group. The font on the left was discovered in a new drawer in the letterpress room and it was unnamed. My student named it Merrick after a character in a tv show he watched.

Another girl set her own poetry for the majority of the class. Here is a sample of her work.

Of course I got a few quirky on-offs! One of my favorite parts of teaching is seeing the funny quotes people find and print.

This large poster my student made for her Grandmother who used to say this to her all the time.

I also held two workshops this spring, one for coasters, and another for postcards.
