Some coworkers of mine invited me camping at Switzer Lake outside of my old college town of Harrisonburg, Virginia. I was hesitant to go at first because I had a lot of work that I needed to get done over the weekend. But after some consideration (and checking the weather) I went for it. I am incredibly thankful I did because I really needed a weekend to disconnect from everything! The day started out cloudy and rainy but was still peaceful. When the sun broke through though, the lake came alive and was gorgeous.I borrowed the coolest tent from a friend and slept elevated above the ground. Here is the view I had laying inside of it.I didn't pack much in the way of food, so I stuck to the basics.

I didn't sleep that great because I was terrified of something happening to me (of course). But when the sun rose I got a little nap in. We spent the rest of Sunday relaxing and taking in the water. That morning I pulled out my day hammock to get a new view and try to recover from my lack of sleep. They are trying to get me to go camping again with them in October. We shall see if I do any better the next go-around!
