Letterpress Student Work: Winter 2022

This was my first class back after pandemic times and boy did I miss teaching. I love being in the classroom and while I like some of the flexibility I have gained with working from home, missing sharing my love of letterpress have crushed me.

Teaching at the beginning of the year is fun because students inevitably do adorable Valentine’s Day cards. This polka dot one had three passes on the press!

This cutie was done in a Friday session. Felt totally appropriate for the world at this point.

One of my students tackled a unique challenge with a mad libs print. Ooof! I had a bear of a time assisting in setting this nugget.

We found this in the room one night and decided to print it as a group. Such a detailed and beautiful onion.

And here is a collection of the rest of the work that came out during the session. Lots of birthday and love messages!

I hate not having any more classes lined up this year but hopefully I’ll get one on the books soon.
