the trailer: has a floor! (& walls)
Another trailer update already! I mentioned in my last post how I needed some help installing the subflooring. Well I checked back in on my trailer and it has made some significant progress. I snapped some quick cell pics to have a better record of the progress.
It wasn't totally what I was expecting when I saw it. I thought that he was just going to help rebuild the insides of the walls and then I was going to put up the visible part, but I couldn't be happier! He also helped me with some of the electric, the lighting on the ceiling, and installing a venting fan so when I am cleaning with chemicals I won't have to be engulfed in fumes. In this picture, you can see two of the lights on the ceiling. There are two more like it on the other side. They are LED and at night are super strong. They provide ample lighting for the space. Underneath the cabinets in the back, there are three more little lights that were installed by the previous owner. They are set to a dimming switch so I can just use those when need be.The fan is one that you would use in a full size house. Needless to say, it is really powerful and has a lot of pull. I think it will provide great ventilation for me when I need it.Here is the other side of the trailer. The top is a cork board where I can put up notes and such. Underneath you can see there are two posts left open for wall outlets. The bottom two pictures are panoramas. If you click on them you can enlarge them to see more details. The next steps now are the cabinets. Since my friend did such an amazing job helping with the walls, I have asked him to help with the cabinetry. Eventually, I am hoping to have all the walls be white and a very dark floor. I simply cannot wait to start working in here!
